Decided to pull out all the holiday and Christmas stops, rummaged through two storage crates of all the holiday/Christmas stuff I usually don't have many opportunities to use, emptied Dr. Fun E. Bone's medicine bag of all the usual bedside bits and props, and filled it with a bunch of cool Christmas bits like a Santa hat tear, nesting candy cane wands, stocking change bag, naughty-or-nice dice, Christmas-colored beads, and Christmas-color mouth coils.
Ended up spending two hours in Peds, Emergency, and ICU using basically two bits: beaded reindeer and the Santa hat tear. Patients and staff loved it as much as I did!
Here are a few photos of the reindeer I made, volunteer McKenna and staffer Andrea in Volunteer Services with their team of reindeer (add animation; batteries not included), and Dr. Fun E. Bone decked out in appropriate headgear (after my morning collision with Rudolph) and lighted medicine bag.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year to all!
