Happy Hockey Day in America (as NBC would have you believe)!
Before "Buster's Red Nose Revue-- The Web Site" gets too far afield on its inaugural flight, some heartfelt thanks and recognition are in order.
First, thanksabunch to all those who have followed, supported, and put up with my journey and development as a red nose character over the years since that OSU Extension Service weekend workshop in Sept 1980 released clown Buster in me. Foremost would be my life love laughter best friend companion partner wife and fellow dogwalker Sharon and my red nose soul inspirations from the "Classic Clown Club" -- Albert Alter, Angel Ocasio, and Mary Pat McCoy.
Next, a tip of the hat to all those who have given me performing opportunities over the years. I learned and grew from each one.
And, a grateful wink to the heavens to my God for lending me these awesome talents for this big red shoed cavort during my time on this sod, as well as breathing life into them. (And no, before this starts sounding maudlin, I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. He's still got plans for me.)
Lastly, a couple of artistic professionals contributed mightily to the new photos of Buster that appear on this site. Since I'm going with a new (and cooler) look sans my long-time wig, I needed some new promo pics shot, so I called on photographer extraordinaire Ron Cooper, now retired from the local paper and freelancing (www.roncooperphotography.com). Then, artist, art gallery proprietor, and neighbor Mary Lou Zeek stepped up and gratiously provided studio space for the shoot (www.zeekgallery.com).
My deepest bow to you all.
Final score Pittsburgh Penguins 4, Buffalo Sabres 3. You win some, you lose some. All you can do is all you can do.
